About Theodorus Durst Eby

Note: He was not married to Margaret Steiner. That misconception comes from an earlier generation, Theodorus or Durst whose wife had that name. He also did not marry Barbli (Barbara) Dysli. That is also a misconception from a different Durst (his uncle). The profile picture is a replacement stone. The date of death is incorrect. At the time it was erected many assumed that Durst Eby died in 1737 because that is when certain of his lands were patented. However, he died in 1727 when his estate was filed for probate in Chester County (later became Lancaster County).
