Theresa (Pawlack) Diedrich Hoyle

Plattsburgh � Mrs. Theresa (Pawlack) Diedrich Hoyle, 80, of Elm St., died Monday Jan. 17, 2000 at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Jacobs Creek, Pa. on June 13, 1919, the daughter of Leon and Euphemia (Anna Markovic) Pawlack.

Mrs. Hoyle was a graduate of Ambridge, Pennsylvania High School Class of 1937 and attended the Robert Morris School of Business in Pittsburgh, Pa. She worked in Detroit at the Hudson Motor Car Company Human Resources Department. She married William C. Diedrich of Crafton, Pa. on Jan. 20, 1946 in Eric, Pa. and they moved to Niagara Falls in 1946. Mr. Diedrich died in 1961. Employed as a secretary at Bell Aerosystems, Hooker Chemical Corp., Carborundum and Moore Business Forms, she earned the Manpower Tiffany Award for excellence in service. She married G. E. "'Ted" Hoyle Oct. 22, 1977. He died in 1981. She attended the Messiah Lutheran Church and was Past President of the Lewiston Service Guild. Mrs. Hoyle may be remembered for her annual presentation of the "Miss Congeniality" award at the Lewiston Peach Queen Finals. This award was given in memory of her husband, Ted Hoyle who was known as "Mr. Congeniality to the Lewiston Kiwanis Club. Mrs. Hoyle enjoyed gardening, reading, current events and had been a member of the Sweet Adelines. While living in Lewiston, she had been giving much hope and encouragement to members of her cancer survivor group, Niagara Oncology Association.

She had made her home here in Plattsburgh since May 1999.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna Diedrich Carr of Kannapolis, N.C., Ruth Diedrich Biehl of Los Angeles, Calif., Kathy Diedrich Baumgarten of Plattsburgh; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one niece and four nephews. nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Julia Pastrick and a brother, John Pawlack.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Plattsburgh followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date at the Chartiers Cemetery in Carnegie, Pa.

Friends wishing may make donations to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, N.Y. or the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
