Kerscher, Marie Theresia nee Brunmeier (also shown as just Theresia) (Sept. 8, 1873-Dec. 20, 1963 –wife of Anton Kerscher [married Oct. 6, 1897 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton] –daughter of Joseph Brunmeier [1825-1909] and Franciska Reuter [1831-1919] –born Town of Liberty –died from "arteriosclerotic heart disease, 5 months –generalized arteriosclerosis, 10 years") –buried Calvary Catholic Cemetery, City of Manitowoc [marriage record Manitowoc 6-432] [death record Manitowoc 59-29]

Mrs. Theresia Kerscher, 90, Manitowoc County native, died at 6:35 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient since July. For 18 months prior to her hospital confinement she had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Paustenback, of 1708 Manila St., Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The former Theresia Brunmeier was born Sept. 8, 1873, at St. Nazianz, daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Brunmeier. She was married to Anton E. Kerscher at St. Nazianz Oct. 6, 1897, and the couple resided at Manitowoc. Mr. Kerscher died March 4, 1947. Mrs. Kerscher was the last member of a family of ten. She was an honorary member of Christian Mothers Altar Society of St. Boniface Church. Surviving her are two sons, Aaron T., of Waukegan, Ill., and Ferd (sic) F., of Manitowoc, two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Paustenback and Mrs. Raymond Ligman, of Manitowoc, 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. A son, Anton S., died in 1959 and a grandson, Aaron E., in 1951. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. by members of Christian Mothers Altar Society and St. Boniface Parish.
