Theunis Christiaan de Klerk

Theunis Christiaan de Klerk was one of the Slagtersnek rebels. He, along with 5 others, was charged with Armed rebellion and High Treason. He was married to Johanna Prinslo. They had 5 daughters and his son, also christened Theunis Christiaan, was born 22.11.1815,while his father was on the run from the law. A few days later Theunis snr. surrendered.

Theunis Christiaan snr. was one of 6 rebels hanged at Slagtersnek.

Boer langs Krommerivier,wyk Baviaansrivier. Sterf "Van Aardtspos" 9 Maart 1816 gehang as Slagtersnekrebel. Van sy kinders en nageslag trek saam met die De Beers na Natal met die Groot Trek, later na die Waterberg, Transvaal en selfs verder na Masjonaland (Rhodesie/Zimbabwe) met die Melsettertrek asook an Portugees-Wes-Afrika (Angola) met die Dorslandtrek.
