Thomas "Tom" ALLRED is the first born of ten children of Elias A. ALLRED Sr. and his wife Mary "Polly" RIGBY.
Thomas "Tom" ALLRED age 25 married Sarah "Sallie" YORK age 19 on 15 Apr 1804 in Randolph County, North Carolina. After their forth child was born Thomas ALLRED enlisted on 28 Nov 1814 in the War of 1812 and was discharged on 22 Feb 1815.
