Thomas Jefferson Arringdale

Age 44 years enlisted at Canton Illinois on August 24, 1861 mustered in September 13, 1861 at Camp Butler as Private with Co. K. 7th Illinois Cavalry Re-enlisted at Germantown Tennessee as Veteran with the same company February 10, 1864 mustered in at Memphis Tennessee March 30, 1864 mustered out November 4, 1865 at Nashville Tennessee. He lost his right leg during the war.

He also served in the Mexican War as Private with Co. D. Powell's Mounted Calvary enlisting March 26, 1847 at Savannah Missouri discharged at Fort Leavenworth Kansas on November 11, 1848..

Resident of Soldiers Home Leavenworth and Ohio his first admission was October 12, 1877 age 64 widower his sister Margaret Wheeler of Iowa was next of kin he died there at the home.
