OBITUARY, Saginaw News, Saginaw, Michigan THOMAS BALLARD ~ Cheboygan, Michigan

Passed away at 5 P.M. Monday at University Hospital, Ann Arbor. Age 90 years. He was born November 12, 1862 in MT. Clemens. He married Louise Bangle, who passed away in 1935. Surving are six sons and two daughters, Oscar and Herman Ballard, both of Saginaw; Herbert, Lawrence, Floyd and Frank Ballard, Mrs. Paul Allaire, Mrs. Guy Russ, all of Cheboygan. 36 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren, also one sister and four brothers, Mrs. Louise Moore, Ypsilanti; Lorenzo and Casear Ballard, both of Detroit; Barney Ballard, Bay City, and William Ballard, living in Florida. Funeral service will be held Friday morning at St. Francis' Catholic Church, Alverno, Michigan, Rev. Fr. Robert Heyer will officiate, with burial in Alverno Cemetery.

Godfrey Ballard III was born November 12, 1862, married Louisa Bengle November 5, 1884 at St. Mary's Church, Bay City, Bay County, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph Bengle and Anna Genevieve L'Esperance Ballard both born in Quebec, Canada. Together in their marriage, they raised 14 children. Thomas M.
