Not to be confused with his distant cousin, Thomas H. Brasher b/ 1798 SC who was also in Shelby Co, AL as of 1820. The 1820 Shelby Co, AL census refers to Thomas R. as "Junior" and Thomas H. as "Senior." The designations did not always mean father & son.

His name was Thomas R. Brasher, m1 Nancy RAY, before or ca 1819, SC or AL? She died around or shortly after childbirth in Oct. 1826.

• Note: The Mary Polly Brasher in the 1840 Greenville Co, SC Census in the HH of widow Neomia Brasher is the daughter of Neomia, not our Mary who would be her sister in law. Mary, d/o Neomia never married and after Neomia's death, she is in the home of her brother, Henry. Our Mary is apparently in the 1840 DeKalb Co, GA home of Isaac Long Brasher. She probably died there before they moved to Shelby Co, AL.
