Some genealogies indicate Thomas’s father was Benjamin Buck (b. 1663), son of Isaac and Frances (Marsh) Buck of Scituate. Isaac and Francis had a son Thomas (b. 1655), but he married Mary Turner and stayed in Scituate; that Thomas also had a son Thomas (b. 15 Sep 1682), but he married Hannah Taylor and also stayed in Scituate and raised a family there.

On 18 Dec 1712 Thomas married Elizabeth Howard , daughter of James Howard (-1690) & Elizabeth Washburn (ca 1665-27 Feb 1741/2), in Bridgewater, MA. Born on 16 Jan 1685/6 in Bridgewater, MA. Elizabeth died in Bridgewater, MA, on 8 Jan 1760; she was 73.
