In the year 1828 Thomas bush was sawing for Bursens on his sawmill and as he went to take a borer from under the log, the saw struck it and the borer flew against his head, knocked him down and broke his lower jaw and left arm and injured him otherwise so that life was despaired of and it was about a year before he was able to do any work.
