THOMAS B. CLARKE DIES WHILE DISCUSSING FISHING TRIP
Thomas Brown Clarke, aged 52, prominent resident of Eden, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday evening at 8 o'clock from a stroke of apoplexy.
Mr. Clarke was seated at the dinner table with his wife and one daughter, discussing planes for a fishing trip for the next day, when he was stricken. He had been apparently in the best of health. Mr. Clarke was a large landholder in Eden and was prominent in the upbuilding of Ogden valley. He was the owner of the fox farm in Eden in addition to his other interests.
Mr. Clarke was born in Eden on November 3, 1872, the son of Francis and Harriet A. Teeples Clarke. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Howard Maw and Mrs. Alton Malan, of Ogden; Max T. Clarke, Ray E. Clarke, Ralph Clarke, William E. Clarke and Miss Mary Clarke, all of Eden; One brother, Francis Clarke of Eden and two half-brothers, Jas Sessions of Goshen, Idaho and George Warden, of Boise, also survive.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of Larkin & Sons and will be announced upon word from one of the sons, Ray F. Clarke, who is now in the northwest on a motor trip.
