Thomas was born 6 June 1719, in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, to Joshua Coggeshall and Mercy Nichols. [1]

Thomas married Elizabeth Nichols on 6 January 1736, in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. [2] [3]
