Thomas Entrekin, a member of the church at Hopewell Methodist, on the 19th of Jul, 1839, aged 80 years. He had been a soldier in the Revolutionary war, and in his latter days became a soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we trust is now enjoying the Christian soldier's reward.

This is a marker I ordered for the 4th great grandfather for the Graysoldier. He died in 1839 at Laurens County, South Carolina. Thomas was the husband of Mary Cannon. She applied for his pension and received it from Coweta County, Georgia. Mary is believed to be buried at Bethel Methodist cemetery with her daughter Kezia Entrekin Vickery, the wife of Thomas Vickery. Thomas and Kezia had a son, Thomas Green Vickery who married 1st, Sarah East, he and both of his wives are buried at Bethel. Thomas Entrekin was the son of John Entrekin and Elizabeth Millwee.
