"456. Jeremiah Field - 10010-00010-02
Jeremiah purchased 23 May 1880 of John Thomas, land on"Eastitoe Creek of Keowee," a grant of 811 acres was issued 1 Dec.1832 to Jeremiah Field and Frederick N. Garvin on Devils Fork ofKeowee River; Garvin's interest was sold 27 Jan. 1859 to Thomas J.Keith, son of William L. Keith, by John B. Clayton, assignee of ThomasD. Garvin of Pickens."
According to unsourced notes:
-James along with his brother Thomas bought a brown cow, a featherbed, and miscellaneous furniture from William Thompson on November 10,1809 for a total of $41.25.
-James was an executor over William Broughton's estate; as well aswitness along with his borther, Thomas, on the will on November 5,1804.
-Thomas owned 1,030 acres of land on Laurel Fork of Keowee River and350 acres of land on Mile Creek of Keowee River; which was left to hischildren.
