Thomas Gellibrand was born about 1764 [aged 25 at his marriage], the son of the Rev Joseph Gellibrand and his wife Elizabeth Tice.
He married on the 23rd Nov 1789 at S Botolph without Aldergate, London to widow Sophia Louisa [nee Magniac] Morgan.
It is notable that both he and his only brother married women named Sophia Louisa!
He is in his father's will in 1809
Will held by the UK Archives. "Reverend Joseph Gellibrand of Edmonton, Middlesex. Proved 24 May 1806" Deails a marriage settlement & names his intended wife as Elizabeth Tice, dau of William Tice of Blandford, Dorset & Malachi Tice her brother & also mentions William Blake. Also lists his children Rev William Gellibrand and Thomas Gellibrand & Hannah now wife of William Jennings. As well, grandchildren Sophia Louise Gellibrand dau of William and grandsons William Clark Gellibrand and Joseph Tice Gellibrand & nephews Thomas & William Davis.
His wife Sophia Louisa Gellibrand died on the 16th May 1823 at Carshalton, Surrey & was buried there at All Saints. [Not to be confused with her sister in law ALSO named Sophia Louisa Gellibrand. She died on the 20th Nov 1793 OR her niece of the same name who died 7 Jan 1841 ]
Thomas Gellibrand died in Jan 1826 and was buried at All Saints, Carshalton, Surrey on the 7th January 1826.
He spent some of his career in India & their children may have been born there.
