Thomas son of Henry Gregson and Edith Allestree of Turnditch was christened at Duffield, Derbyshire, on 14 July 1611.[1]
Along with his wife Mary, he was named in the undated will of his uncle Richard Gregson (abt.1588-1640) of the City of London as natural nephew and current business partner. Richard's will was proved on 31 August 1640.[2]
Thomas made his own will on 25 January 1663/64 at Wapping, Middlesex, referring to his wife Mary, his children Mary (wife of Edward Moore), Thomas, Edith Gregson, Henry and Philip (the latter two under 21), and to Hannah wife of William Brasse, "pretended daughter of my now wife". The will was proved at London on 20 July 1664.[3]
