In 1711 the Presbytery of Philadelphia was petitioned by persons residing in the vicinity of Odessa for regular ministrations of the Gospel Life. Rev. In 1762, the church being “unfit to answer the purposes of a house of worship,” a subscription was raised for the purpose of erecting a new edifice.
