Thomas was born in Wenham, MA on November 12, 1657 and resided there all his life.
He married Elizabeth Potter, daughter of Anthony Potter and Elizabeth Stone, who was the daughter of Deacon Gregory Stone and his 2nd wife, Lydia Cooper, of Ipswich. She died on December 4, 1723. He was accepted as a townsman and granted town privileges on November 1, 1682. Ws surveyor in 1682. He made frequent purchases and sales of land. On May 6, 1716 he purchased land in Andover, which he gave to his son Daniel.
He made his will December 10, 1730, and it was proven on October 16, 1732.
