About Thomas James Lempriere

Courier 23 June 1852 "At Aden, Felix Peninsula, on the 5th Jan last, after a painful illness, Thomas James Lempriere, Esq. Assistant Commissary General, aged 56 years. The deceased was ordered from Hong Kong in November last by Medical Board, but his health gradually declined, until arriving at Aden, where he was landed, and expired 10 days after. He was buried with military honours in the Cantonment. He was for many years on the staff in this colony, and has left a wife and family to deplore his irreparable loss." [Yemen]
