About Thomas Barratt Martindale, Jr
He was a graduate of Penn State college and a member of the Union League. While at Penn State, he was pledged and became a member of the ALPHA TAU OMEGA Fraternity.
He was married to Elizabeth Marguerite MacLay. They had two children: Thomas Barratt III and Barbara Kent Howsare. He was vice president of Thomas B. Martindale, Inc., a Ford dealership at Broad St. and Allegheny Avenue, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He died of pneumonia which he contracted after surgery for appendicitis at Germantown Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 32 years old.
