About Thomas P. Shelby

Thomas P. Shelby was born in NC between 1776-84. He married there but was widowed with four children when he moved to TN with his father. He married his second wife, Clara in Montgomery County, TN and lived there on West Fork and Red River near the muddy fork of Sinking Creek. He died sometime before June 1816 and Clara remarried to his first cousin Reese Shelby. She and her step-children removed to Pope County, IL.
