He was born circa 1546 at of Shotley, Suffolk, Eng; Age 14 in 1560.2 A settlement for the marriage Thomas Stratton, Gent. and Dorothy Nicolls was made in 1571 at Norwich, Norfolk, England; They had 4 sons (Thomas; John, Gent; Benjamin; & Joseph) & 7 daughters (Susanna; Anne; Dorothy; Dorcas; Mary; Elizabeth; & Sarah).2 Thomas Stratton, Gent. left a will on 15 April 1596.2 He died on 29 May 1596 at Dedham, Essex, England; Buried at Shotley, Suffolk.2 His estate was probated on 4 November 1596.2
