Tore Salamonson Vasstun

Tore was brother of Lars Salamonson Y. Jaastad br. 1 (In Y. Jastad Lars Salamonson is called Kraakevik -- But Salomon in Kraakevik is Not listed with sons Tore & Lars, just Johannes...) Both Tore & Lars were probably of the Hovland family since they owned a part in Hovland that they sold to Ivar Hovland in 1670. Tore also bought what the Hovland people owned in Vasstun.

Tore sold building material and timber; and was fined mildly (3 rdl.) because of his weak children ("for sine svage borns skyld") & he promised to stop.

Tore & ?Kari? Ellingsdatter had 5 children:

a. Salamon m. 1673 Barbro Paalsdatter, lived on Bakke br. 1 - had 5 children, but whole family must have died before 1695, because not mentioned in Jens' skifte.

b. Hallvard, lived on Hjollo, bruk 1.

c. Elling Vasstun (see profile)

d. Jens Vasstun (died 1695 - skifte 28 February 1695) - took over farm in 1686, together with Elling. Jens married 1692 Maren Danielsdatter - no children.

e. Marta (1664-1741) m. 1684 Ola Nilsson Eide br. 1.
