Torlagh O'Brien

There is a listing in Vicar's "Index to Prerogative Wills of Ireland" for a Sir Terlogh O'Brien, whose will was probated in 1626. This Sir Terlogh was a knight and a baronet from Castlecarra, County Tipperary. As of this writing, there is no proof that Sir Terlogh was the same person as Torlagh O'Brien, father of Anastase.

There is also a Terlogh O'Brien, gentleman, of Knockdrum, Co. Clare, but this is, quite plainly, not the man we seek. The estate of Terlogh O'Brien, gentleman, was settled in 1743.
