Uffz Walter Wolf was captured at Halfaya Pass in North Africa. He was one of 4 POWs convicted and hanged for the murder of Dr. Karl Lehmann at Camp 132 near Medicine Hat, Alberta. CBC Digital Archives
In 1970 Wolf was disinterred from the Prison Yard, Lethbridge Jail, Lethbridge, Alberta and buried in the German War Graves Section in Woodland Cemetery in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The servicemen were buried two to a grave according to the names on the headstone. He is buried with Bernhard Andersen.
