Mrs. Ursula Griswold, the amiable consort of Matthew Griswold, Esqu., late Governor of the State of Connecticut, died April 5, 1788, in her 64th year.
The daughter and thirteenth child of Gov. Roger & Sarah (Drake) Wolcott, she married Matthew Griswold (Governor 1784-1786) on Nov. 10, 1743, and she was the mother of Roger Griswold, Governor of Connecticut from 1811-1812.
