Valeria E. "Val" Schrantz, 88, Sauk Centre, October 2, 1921–July 13, 2010

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 16 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre for Valeria Schrantz who died Tuesday at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. Private family burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church Friday one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by her children, Judy Schrantz (Pat Brophy) of Mendota Heights, Wayne (Mary) Schrantz of Grove Lake, Jane (Paul) Ehlert of Underwood, Mary (Rick) Taube of Lino Lakes, Marlene (John) Rose of Lexington, and John Schrantz of Elrosa; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Leona Schloegl, Louise Minette, Marian Huschle, Lorraine Bierschbach, Arthur (Dorothy) Van Heel, Francis Van Heel, Robert (Jan) Van Heel, Virgil (JoAnn) Van Heel, and Bernice Roering.

Val was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Schrantz on April 13, 2010; parents; brother, Elmer Van Heel; daughter-in-law, Kim Schrantz; and grandson, Matthew Rose.
