	Notes for VESTA LULA SIZEMORE:

Vesta Lula Sizemore Kirby was born May 20, 1877 in Walker County Georgia. She was placed to rest at Little River Church in Mentone Alabama. She passed on August 30, 1968.

Great-Grandmother Hardeman & Kirby.

I don't remember my Great-Grandmother Hardeman but I remember my Great-Granny Vesta Lula Sizemore Kirby as plain as day. She was a feisty little old lady. I always thought, I want to be just like her, full of spunk and vitality. One of the many stories about my Granny Kirby that has stuck in my mind for many years is that she had about seven children, regurgitated her tonsils, but never spent a day in the hospital till that August evening in 1968. She was getting ready to go to church one Sunday evening with my family and fell and broke her hip. To my great sadness her first time to a hospital was also her last. She was never able to leave the hospital. She died a few days later.

I also remember her dipping her snuff. She had one ear that was ripped through the earlobe. I think one of the grandchildren had yanked an ear ring out early on. She was never able to get it sewed back up. She was an inspiration to us all that were lucky enough to know her. She was 91 when she passed away.

I also was always told she was of Indian ancestry.

Thanks for your devotion into your family history.
