About Victor Dewey Davis

MARKLEVILLE - Victor D. Davis, 57, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday in St. John's Hospital, Anderson.
He spent his life in Markleville, where he lived with his two brothers. He was a member of the Markleville Brotherhood and Sisterhood and of the Anderson Lodge of Eagles. He was a former employe of the Nicholson File Company and for the past 10 years was employed at the Emporia elevator.
He was born in Union Township, a son of Solon and Emma Jane Craig Davis, pioneer residents of the township.
Survivors include: two brothers, Curtis and George, of Markleville; one half-sister, Mrs. Ova Jeffers, New Castle; two nieces and one nephew.
Friends are being received in the Valorous C. Rector Funeral Home here, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Hess Cemetery north of Cadiz.
