Another documentary evidence of death in the Shoah comes from "A Gyöngyösi Zsidóság Törtenete" ("The History of the Jews of Gyöngyös"), 2nd edition. Editor: Horváth László, Published: MÁTRA Muzeum, Gyöngyös, 1999, Page 147. Since the Jews of Gyongyos were deported from the Gyongyos Ghetto to the Hatvan Ghetto on 8 June 1944 and arrived [from Hatvan] at Auschwitz-Birkenau on 15 June 1944 then, given his age, it can be assumed that the date of death was 15 June 1944.

Note: From the Gyongyos ghetto the entire Jewish community of 1,824 men, women and children was taken by train to Hatvan on 8 June 1944, where they spent 2-3 days in the sugar factory under terrible conditions, before being taken by train to Auschwitz-Birkenau where, according to Randolph Braham, they arrived on 12 June - but it was actually the 15th. According to personal testimony, they did not arrive until 15 June. See Randolph L Braham (ed) (2013),"The geographical encyclopedia of the holocaust in Hungary, Volume 1, Page 461 ["Gyongyos"]. Note added on 27.08.1944: SZEGO Agnes, who wrote the chapter on Heves County in Braham's book writes that the train to Auschwitz left Hatvan on 12 June 1944. Sha has advised me that the trip took three days, thus confirming 15 June 1944 as the date of arrival at Auschwitz-Birkenau.
