About Viola Irene Harkness
Mrs. J. B. Harkness HANOVER - Mrs. Viola Harkness, a great-granddaughter of Daniel Boone, died in Swedish-American Hospital at Rockford, Thursday.
She had been employed in Hanover Woolen Mills for several years. She was born in Hanover, Nov. 5, 1882, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Morris. She was married to John B. Harkness in October 1901.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Iva Demico of Rockford, Mrs. Ellen Njaa of Laurel, Mont., Mrs. Agnes Murphy of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Virginia Jones of Hiawatha, Kan.; and one son, John M., Rockford. There are 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in First Presbyterian Church at Hanover. The Rev. Robert Oram, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the William Potter home here after 10 a.m. Saturday.
