• * "He was born on 109 March 1870 at 387 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York County, New York, and his wife Katharine was born in Detroit, Michigan. His father, George Bliss, was born in Northampton, Massachusetts and died in New York City.
  • "He went around the world from December 1893 to July 1894. He was in France and England from the spring of 1911 for six weeks.
  • "He wanted a new passport to travel to Great Britain, France, Holland, Belgium for recreation and health, by departing from the Port of New York aboard the SS Olympic on 19 March 1921.
  • "He was 50 years old; was 5-feet, 11 1/2 inches tall; had a high forehead, blue eyes, a straight nose, a medium mouth, a round chin, gray hair, a ruddy complexion, and an oval face."
