Walter Dickenson was christened on 10 February 1620/1 in Saint Andrew's Church, Holbourne, London, England. He immigrated in 1654 to Virginia. Walter and his brother John came from England to America, settling originally in Virginia. Not being welcomed there, they moved to several locations in Maryland. He was a member of the Society of Friends, more commonly known as Quakers. Walter lived in Trappe, Talbot County, Maryland after 1659. After a few years of resettling, Walter and Jane settled here, where he built the family homestead named "Crosiadore." He signed a will on 3 February 1679/80 in Talbot County, Maryland. In 1679 he was a commissioned a Judge in Talbot County, Maryland. Walter died on 10 March 1680/1 in Crosiadore Farm, Trappe, Talbot County, Maryland. He had his estate probated on 4 April 1681 in Talbot County, Maryland.
