Colonel Walter Story, Jr., son of Charles Story, Sr., & Elizabeth, was born about 1665. According to court documents in 1772, he was 7 years old.
He married Mary Land about 1688. Their life together and daughter, Elizabeth Story Warren Hanson, are described in the section on Mary.

Mary Land's parents were Philip and Priscilla Land. She was born about 1670 in Maryland.
She married Colonel Walter Story (Storey) about 1688. Walter was born about 1666 and was the son of Walter and Elizabeth Story.
Mary and Walter's daughter was
- Elizabeth Story Warren Hanson (1689, married Benjamin Warren and Colonel Samuel Hanson).
In 1701 when Penelope Theobald Land died, she directed that her son, John, and daughter, Eliza, live with her son-in-law, Walter Story. Also, John Scroggin, son of George Scroggin, who had been bound to Penelope was bound to Walter Story after she died.
Mary Land died before 1703 when Walter married Mary Morris, the daughter of Richard Morris and Penelope Theobald.
He married Mary Morris about 1703. Mary Morris was born on December 22, 1689 in Charles County, Maryland. Her parents were Richard Morris and Penelope Theobald.
Walter, Jr. and Mary's children included:
- Sarah Story Douglas (1704, married Joseph Douglas ),
- Charity Story Chandler (1712, married John Chandler), and
- Jane Story (1715)
In 1705/06, his daughter Elizabeth's, husband, Benjamin Warren, named him in his will.
In 1711 Walter and his daughter Sarah inherited some personal property from Ann Lynes.
A letter dated March 24, 1717/18 from Thomas Pallin to Walter Story said that his tobacco had arrived safely in England.
Mary died in June, 1719.
Walter married Ann.
Walter died in 1726 his nearest kin were daughters, Sarah Douglas and Elizabeth Story. His wife, Ann inherited the dwelling plantation and the residue of the estate. She was the executrix.
