60th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY OF WALTER THOMAS AND ADA ELIZA TICKNER ( NEE CAUNT )

There was a gathering of the clan At Audley National Park, Sutherland on September 2nd, to celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of Walter and Ada Tickner of Minto. Their well-wishes included their four serviving children,21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren their foster son Ray Kerr and Mr Tickner's only living brother Gordon Tickner and his wife from Moss Vale On their anniversary, which fell on September 1, the couple spent an exciting day opening up congradulatory telegrames from Queens Elizabeth, the Prime Minister Mr Whitlam, the Govennor Sir Roden Cutler and from relatives and friends. Mr and Mrs Tickner were married at the small town of Grong Grong ( near Narrandera ) and moved to Minto in 1920. Came from Campbelltown local paper in September 1974 I still have the artical from 1974
