Warren Calvin Huntley

Warren Calvin Huntley, 71, of 337 Oakview Park Road, Asheville, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1993, in Greentree Ridge Nursing Facility. A native of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Thomas Carl and Mildred Duckett Huntley.

He was retired as vicepresident of operations for Concrete Products Company. He was a World War II paratrooper with the 1st Special Service Forces and a former prisoner of war. He attended Biltmore Holiness Temple.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Elizabeth Phipps Huntley; three sons, Patrick Huntley of Charlotte, Thomas Huntley of Fletcher and Dr. Douglas Huntley of Spartanburg, two daughters, Sonia Burleson of and Joan Miller of Hayes, Va.; three brothers, Grady Huntley of Fletcher, Norman Huntley of Fairview and Homer Huntley of Asheville; three sisters, Ruby Kiser of Forest City, Ollie Hudgins Davis of Fairview, and Lillie Cauble of Arden; and 10 grandchildren.

A funeral will be held 2 Saturday in the Biltmore Holiness Temple. The Revs. Raymond Woodby and Lawrence Rhodes will officiate. Burial will follow in Hoopers Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 until today at the funeral home. Williams Funeral Service, Asheville, is in charge of arrangements.
