Wavia Ital

Funeral services for Wavia Gautreaux Ital, resident of Gonzales formerly of Lettsworth, will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 beginning at 2pm at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport with Fr. Dwight DeJesus officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 11, 2016 beginning at 10am until 2pm at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport. Burial will be held at the Christ the King Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Wavia Gautreaux Ital, age 83, passed away on Monday, May 09, 2016 at the Jefferson Manor Nursing Home in Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewell & Loretta Dupuy; her first husband, Murphy Gautreaux; her second husband, George Ital; daughter, Shanon Gautreaux; son, Donald Gautreaux; grandson, Cory Ducote.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Linda Gautreaux of Grand Isle and Benita Gautreaux of Baton Rouge; sister, Emmaline Myers; grandchildren: Sharon Brouillette of Baton Rouge, Jackie Lynn Davis of Grand Isle, Sunshine A. Torres of Pineville, Kenneth C. Brouillette of Baton Rouge, Shane Ducote of Marksville, Brandon Ducote of Marksville, and Donnie Jo Dodson of Grand Isle; eleven great-grandchild.
