Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marty, MN for Wendelin T. Voigt, age 84, who died peacefully at his home Saturday surrounded by his family. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m.
Wendelin was born in Luxemburg, MN to Bernard and Anna (Kenning) Voigt. He married Rose Mary Weber on May 1, 1952 in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marty. Wendelin loved and cherished his family. Van was a dairy farmer and he enjoyed gardening, fishing, deer hunting and playing cards. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish.
Survivors include his loving wife, Rose; children, Daniel (Doris) of Cold Spring, Catherine (Jim) Gregory of Rockford, Donna (Jeff) Schulz of Brainerd, Patricia (Clyde) Reimann of St. Michael, Karen (Randy) Reitmeier of Brooklyn Park and Edward (Joan) of Cold Spring; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Martha Holley of MI and Eleanor Reh of St. Cloud.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Clemence, Roman, Helen Fuchs, Alma Weber, Sylvester, Ervin and William.
Wendelin was a dairy farmer and he enjoyed gardening, fishing, deer hunting and playing cards. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marty, MN.
