There is no record of what became of WILLIAM Deane’s wife, but it is obvious that she died before he made his will.
"William - d. about 1634, South Chard, Somerset. "
Children:
There has been extensive research done on the family of William Deane of Chard, Somerset, England and all published research shows that the identity of his wife is unknown.
However, some sites perpetuate the myth that she was Margaret and even give her a maiden name. So where did this name come from? It came from a completely different Deane family. There is no relationship to this family (see above sources). But if you are interested in the other Deane family please see: Collectanea Topographica Et Genealogica, Volume 3 p 190 edited by Frederic Madden, Bulkeley Bandinel, John Gough Nichols Someone saw that and copied it and then someone copied them and – well you know how the Internet can be… But to be clear this is an entirely unrelated Deane family. In fact in none of the published genealogies does an author even suggest a Christian name much less a maiden name for her.
