Madawaska---Wilfrid Levesque, 83, went to Heaven on April 9, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born in Verret, Canada on October 23, 1927, the son of Rene and Annie (Marchand) Levesque. He leaves six children behind. Two sons, Jeannot and his wife Lise of Burlington, CT, Ghislain and his wife Claudette of St. David; four daughters, Ghislaine Marquis and her husband Gerald of Winchester, CT, Ginette Rioux and her husband Real of Gatineau, Quebec, Francine Leathers and her husband Robert of Millinocket, Janelle Belfleur of St. Basile, Canada; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; his long time companion of many years, Corinne Sirois of Edmundston, Canada; three sisters, Alfreda Daigle, Helen Boudreau, and Bertha Levesque. Wilfrid was predeceased by his wife, Lucille (Lacombe) Levesque; two sisters, Jeanne Belanger and Cecile Daigle; three brothers, Martin, Paul and Edmond Levesque. A Funeral Service will be held 10am on Tuesday, April 12 at St. Thomas Aquinas church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Monday and from 9am until time of service on Tuesday. Burial will be in the spring.
