BIOGRAPHY Wilhelm, Prinz von Schönburg-Waldenburg, was born on 3 April 1913 in Guteborn, the son of Ulrich, Prinz von Schönburg-Waldenburg and Pauline, Prinzessin zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg.

On 27 September 1939 in Rossla, Wilhelm married Marie Elisabeth, Prinzessin zu Stolberg-Rossla, daughter of Christoph Martin, 3.Fürst zu Stolberg-Rossla, and Ida, Prinzessin Reuss zu Greiz. They became the parents of two sons.

Wilhelm was killed in battle on 11 June 1944 near Parfouru, in Normandy. His widow died on 11 September 1975 in Ortenberg.
