Has three daughters, Tonina, Theda (Private Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Hague, Holland), Louisa Ulrica (Mrs. Dr.Forbes Rees-Jones, of Kelvedon, Essex, England) and Bauwina Hendrika. Is a keenly interested worker for charities, especially those connected with children; an active worker in organising children's concerts for charity. Teaches children to do things for the poor, not for notoriety, but for betterment of others, thereby attaining high ideals by doing things without expecting any return; keeping children pleasantly occupied and giving them a new incentive. Other interests, collector of antiques, china and old silver, child welfare and literature."
