About Willem Tentsz
Children: Teunis (July 25 - Sept 27 1721), Jan (April 11 - 22 1723), Bregt (April 21 1726), Jan (Feb 13 1730), Peter (1732). Willem Jansz and Meinuw Jans made profession of faith in the Wervershoof Reformed Church on May 9 1723. They were living in Wervershoof at the time, and it seems they remained there. Willem is given the last name of Tentz in the death record of a child and his death record. Willem was a miller (molenaar), probably in Lagedijk in Wervershoof although he may have also run the windmills in de Boede. He probably took over the business from his father-in-law. According to his father’s will he was a “watermolenaar” (water windmill keeper) in de Molenhoek. He was from the Noorderdijk and Meinouw from Wervershoof, according to their marriage records.
