William Thomas Bebee

Son of Joshua Beebe III (1778 PA-1844 Quebec, CAN) and Mary Ann Watt (b abt 1810 Ire- d 1899 Quebec, CAN). Bro of Joshua Ellison Beebe & Mary Jane Beebe Corbin both of New Carlisle, Quebec, CAN.

Wm. T. Bebee was born and raised in New Carlisle, Quebec, CAN. He left New Carlisle in 1869 at the age of 29. He lived at Foxburg and Parkers Landing, PA where he worked in the new oil fields of that area. He married Mary Elizabeth Watt on Sept 24, 1873 in New Castle, Lawrence Co PA at the home of her parents. She was the daughter of Charles T. Watt and Nancy Montgomery of New Castle, PA. In 1883 Wm. Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Bebee left PA and moved to Ord, NE and later Burwell, NE where they were early pioneers and homesteaders.

William changed the spelling of his name from the Beebe to Bebee.

Father of: Clair Watt Bebee, Mary Ethel (deceased in childhood), Ella May Bebee, and Roy Willard Bebee.

He became a Naturalized U. S. Citizen on Dec 20 1886.

Note: Death certificate states date of birth Nov 17 1842. Baptism Record from St. Andrew's Church, New Carlisle, Quebec, Canada states date of birth as Nov 17 1840.

Cause of death: Chronic Nephritis (Kidney inflammation/failure)
