About William Carson
William Carson (b. 05/19/1786 - d.1853), a son of Lindsey & Lucy Carson, is misidentified as the husband of Matilda Boone, the 3rd daughter of Col William Linville Boone and his wife Nancy. He was actually the husband of Mildred "Millie" Boone, Matilda's older sister. When William's daughter Adaline was born Matilda would have been 14 or 15 years, "Millie" would have been 17 or 18 when she died of complications of childbirth.
After the end of the War of 1812. William married Cassandra, the younger sister of Matilda. She bore him 7 more children.
