' William de Swynburn knight confirms to William de Kergill and Beatrice his wife the grant which Agnes de Thornhill wife of the late Alexander de Swynburn his father made to them from her dower

of the township of Halghton so that whatever should happen to the said Agnes, William and Beatrix or their heirs shall have the dower for the full term of 10 years from the making of this deed Witnessed by lords John de Vall, John de Hauleton, Robert de Insula de Chipcheese knights, Robert de Raymes, William de Denom, Dated at Newcastle upon Tyne Easter Day in the 10th year of King Edward son of King Edward [Vol. 1. p. 2..
