William Penn Dixon was born in Paris, Texas and married Kitty Jo Blair 1-1-1949 and later divorced on 12-6-1971 and they had 6 children. Karen Irene Dixon(Krisher), John William Dixon, Floyd Houston Dixon, Gina Dixon, Penny Dawn Dixon, Mark William Dixon. Arrangements under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Picher, OK., officiating services by Rev. Mark Rector, pallbearers are; Edgar Miller, Matthew Smith, Allen Morgan, Galen McDowell, Randy Beal, J. R. Bliss. Mr William Penn Dixon married Kitty Jo Blair on January 1, 1949 in Benton County, Oklahoma. They had six children together: Karen(79350576), John(86305485), Mark, Penny, Gina, and Floyd.

The history of the Dickson, Dixson, Dixon, Davis name is unclear at this time. The question is why some of the sons of John and Nina chose to stay with Dixon and some have Davis. If you study the records of John William Davis (Dixson) you find his last name in many forms as mention above. John's dad Pleasant spelled his last name as Dickson. But also if you look into his records there also is many forms of the last name. Its all very confusing??? I know back then it wasn't uncommon for the name spelling to change from one generation to another but how did Davis come into the picture?? On John and Nina's grave markers it has Davis as the last name. I have a picture of my great grandma Emily at her parents grave site. So again I don't know why it changed from Dixson to Davis??

William Penn Dixon has another find a grave memorial. ID number is 142952723
I tried to get that memorial matched to his parents John and Nina as all the records show them to be his parents. But the owner would not make the change even though i sent many records and census records showing that they are his parents. Even on the US Social Security Applications and Claims Index for Mr. William Penn Dixon is has his birth and death date matching all his records including the other memorial and is has John and Nina listed as parents under the same record. I hope one of his kids read's this and if so please send me an email.
