About William Reinhardt Elsas
William Reinhardt Elsas was the son of Benjamin Elsas and wife Mathilda Reinhardt. He was born May 15, 1905 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. He married Eleanor McDonald and had one child, son Richard. He died on December 9, 1950, of a sudden heart attack while riding horseback in Tryon, North Carolina. He was buried at West View Cemetery in Atlanta.
William attended Georgia Tech and graduated in 1945 with a degree in Textile Engineering. He became known as an expert in his field. He joined the family business, Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills, eventually rising to become president of the company.
