He married circa 1718 in Somerset Co, Maryland. Catherine White,b. c 1700, daughter of William White and Katherine Powell, She died Aft. 1766.
William was named in his father Walter Evans's will on 6 January 1720/21, Somerset Co, Maryland. William made a will on 26 May 1764 at Worcester Co, Maryland. Towife Catherine dwelling house and plantation with privilege to all marshes and pastures. To son John part of tract of land called North Perthernton. To son Walter 20 shillings. To son Joshua plantation where he lives called Buck Ridge with 50 acres of land. To Son Solomon land and plantation where he lives as described in detail. To son Joseph parts of two tracts of South Perthernton and Evans Part as described. To son Elisha remaining lands which is part of North Perthernton from my son John. Bounds and likewise all remaining part of Evans Part containing 80 acres; 125 acres of South Perthernton; 61 acres in the woods called Timber Ridge. Should Elisha die without issue then to his brother Joseph. To grandson William Evans, son of Joshua. To Rachel Johnson and Comfort Justice, 5 pounds currency each. To daughter Martha Evans. To wife Catherine and to Elisha, Mary Hudson and Martha Evans remainder of estate. Extr. Catherine Evans. Witt: William Tunnell, Comfort Tunnell, Ginnethon(sic) Harney. He died before probate 5 November 1766 at Worcester Co, Maryland,
