Gunner William Gray, Australian Field Artillery, died of sickness on 4 October 1918. Son of John and Elizabeth Gray of Alexandria, New South Wales. Born in Sydney. Conflict 1914 - 1918. Buried at Wiltshire. 115 Tidworth Military Cemetery, North Tidworth.He was 24 years old when he died. He had a dark complexion, brown eyes and brown hair. His rank was Private.He died of pneumonia. He was buried with full Military honors. The funeral was preceded by a Firing Party from the Australian Machine Gun Training Depot and the Band of the Royal Scots Greys. Six Australians acted as Pall bearers. The remains were followed by three Officers and about 50 N.C.O.s and Men who were present at the graveside ceremony. Headquarters A.I.F. Depots in United Kingdom were represented at the funeral. From the Australian Imperial Force Burial Report. He received the 1914/15 Star Medal, the British War Medal. and the Victory Medal.
